Dog Nipple Treatment
Hidradenitis suppurativa, popularly known as Dog Udder disease, is a non-contagious but chronic dermatological disorder marked by the appearance of small, painfully swollen lesions under the skin. Bumps usually develop in areas where your skin rubs against each other, such as the armpits, groin, buttocks, and breasts. The disease heals slowly, recurs, and can lead to tunnels and scarring under the skin.
Symptoms begin around the hair follicles and occur with the activation of immune system cells in which pro-inflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor, IL-1β and IL-17 play a role. Unlimited and chronic immune response eventually leads to severe pain, painful acne-like boils under the skin, pus discharge, irreversible tissue destruction and scar development. Dog boobing exhibits negative effects on quality of life, and these effects often result in social withdrawal, unemployment, depression, and suicidal thoughts.
The etiology of the disease is multifactorial; Genetic and environmental factors, lifestyle, stress, anxiety, depression, smoking, obesity, hormonal status and microbiota (bacteria, archaea, protists, fungi, viruses) are multifactors determined by scientific research.
Stage I includes blackheads and bumps that leave little scarring.
Stage II involves recurrent abscesses with scarring and dermal sinus tract formation.
Stage III involves a large area of skin with multiple interconnected sinus tracts and abscesses.
*Dermal sinus tracts are abnormal connections between the skin and deep tissues.
Care
It is important to diagnose the condition in the early stages and begin intervention to prevent it from worsening. It can be controlled with medication with early intervention. In severe or persistent cases, surgery may be required.
Antibiotic (local or systemic),
Regional cleaning with antiseptic solutions,
Retinoids (vitamin A-derived drugs),
immunosuppressant,
Steroids-Cortisone (local or systemic)
*Although corticosteroids are known as the most effective group of drugs used to reduce inflammation and suppress the immune system, their side effect profile is just as wide. Undesirable results may occur both alone and when interacting with other drugs.
Common side effects of systemic steroids: Increased appetite-weight gain, mood swings, muscle weakness, blurred vision, increased body hair, easy bruising, lower resistance to infection, swollen "puffy" face, acne, osteoporosis (bone-weakening disease), onset or worsening of diabetes, onset or worsening of high blood pressure, stomach irritation, irritability, difficulty sleeping, cataracts or glaucoma, edema.
! Untreated Hidradenitis Suppurativa; It can lead to complications such as psychological stress, cellulite, limited range of motion, scars on the skin, lymphedema and skin cancer.
